Project Overview
Have your own 3D printer, a friend with one, or even your local library? You are in luck! I am making the STLs for these available both via Printables and Thingaverse so that anyone can print these out on their own. My goal is to help spread the word about our National Parks and the need to contact our representatives and let them know we need to protect these parks both today and generations to come! Please do leave a tip via PayPal or Buy Me a Coffee that will support my time, effort, and material for creating these! I will be donating 50% of net tips given to this project to the National Parks Foundation. - be sure to check them out even if you do not leave a tip! Any white filament will suffice for printing these out!
Light Sources
 |
Click here for the nightlight that the nightlight lithophanes are designed for. Please do click on the link if you buy from Amazon as I will get a small commission, consider it "feeding the designer"! Note: this is just for the light source - it is not for printing out or buying the lithophane as posted at the top of this page. |

Click here for a light that the desktop and Easter egg lamps are designed to work for. Please do click on the link if you buy from Amazon as I will get a small commission, consider it "feeding the designer"! Note: this is just for the light source - it is not for printing out or buying the lithophane as posted at the top of this page. If you consider a different light source its important to know that the lamps are 100 mm (3.9 inches) in diameter so that they set near perfectly on top of it. This light has a cord that plugs into an USB port that most phone and tablet chargers have (the ones where the cord is removeable). A great option to save on the use of batteries. |

Note this light source is 78 mm (3.1 inches) in diameter which allows it to snuggly fit into the interior of the desktop lamp.

If you do not have a printer, I can print nightlights out for $20 each and Easter Eggs for $40. In both cases I will donate $5 to the National Parks Foundation. This does not include the light source which you can purchase from Amazon or any other retailor.
The Mad Gardner Could Use Your Help
I have relied heavily on using photos I took and therefore own the copyright for. However, I am getting at the end of the parks I have been too! If you do not see the National Park in the table below then I likely do not have photos, to see a list of parks I am looking for photos for please click here. If you have a good photo (or even four to support my next project) please contact me. You just need to own the rights to it and be willing to grant me the right to use it for 3D prints. Any STLs, for this project, will be made feely available. This means that anyone, with a 3D printer, will be able to create the Lithophane on their own!
Also, don't care for the photo used for any given National Park? If you have the photo I will be more than happy to design a lithophane with it! Just Contact me!

Project Status
Below is a list of all the National Parks, in the US, along with what the status is on where I am at with creating a Lithophane for it.
Status = Done means it is done and you will find it in the list above.
Status = In Queue means I have a photo and am actively working on it.
Status = Have Photo means I have a photo but have not determined if it will work for at lithophane
I am looking for photos to use for this project. Only requirement is that you "own" the rights to the photo as I want to be approach this legally and not just harvest online photos! Since I am making the STLs freely available I am not able to offer any type of compensation other than to credit the person or organization providing the photo an a link back to their website if applicable. An STL file is the file necessary for someone to 3D print an object, in this case a Lithophane. If you have a good photo (or even four to support my next project) please contact me.
