Did you know you can make plastic using ingredients found in your own kitchen?
This is a type of PLA (polylactic acid) plastic and while it won't be as tolerant, to water, as what is commercially available it is fully biodegradable!
What you will need (small batch)
| 1 T | Potato Starch |
| 4 T | Water |
| 1 t | Vinegar |
| 1 t | Glycerin |
Or go all in with a large batch!
| 1 C | Potato Starch |
| 4 C | Water |
| 5 T+1 t | Vinegar |
| 5 T+1 t | Glycerin |
Just add all the ingredients to a pan, order does not matter, and mix thoroughly.
Place over medium heat and continue mixing until it thickens and the edges become clear.
